Woodworm & Beetle Treatment
Identification of wood boring insects A number of insects, mainly beetles, are able to use wood as a food source some of them can cause serious damage to building timbers. The beetles all have fairly similar life cycles, although there are variations in the length of each stage in cycles, the type of wood attacked, and the extent and type of damage caused. Importance of Identification The existence of damage caused by wood boring insects does not always indicate a need for remedial treatment; correct identification is essential before any consideration can be given to whether treatment is needed. Wood boring insects commonly found in building timbers fall into one of 3 categories according to the treatment normally required. For more information please select from the articles below |
